May 3: Started the day early taking my son to the airport at 4:45 AM. As he got out I thought, "There's my 26-year-old son getting out of my car with his brand new laptop purchased for his brand new partnership in a music-focused bar, on his way to Vegas for a trade show which his boss paid for him to attend to buy merchandise for the shop". Jacob is making his dreams come true.
I don't usually work on Mondays, but this day I did work 5 hours; then got a pedi/mani; then had Sweet Adelines installation dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse that night, and since it was our actual birthday, another woman and I got to hear the barbershop version of Happy Birthday sung to us--it was beautiful!
May 4: Worked a 5 hour day; went for a surgery pre-physical and x-rays.
May 7: Back at the airport early morning, this time I was the one flying out with my sister to Colorado. I'm not a fan of airplane travel for two reasons--I always have to have the body scan because of my artifical hip, AND my thighs are always going to be touching the person sitting next to me on the plane.

May 10: Massage in the morning; errands; Tess; tears (anxiety about upcoming surgery); Sweet Adelines
