There are six young ladies in the house preparing for a wedding that takes place in two-and-a-half hours. Why are they here? Because the wedding is in the park, and the park is just around the corner, and Abby is the Maid of Honor. There are also two toddlers and a baby--Jo is in charge of them. From what I gather, only the bride is taking a shower, and the toddlers are getting a bath. The moms have said the toddlers could use naps -- ha! There's too much commotion for that. The children (Tess and Devin) have explained to me their jobs at the wedding--of course they are the flower girl and ring bearer. I told them lots of people would be looking at them but they didn't have to act shy. And what am I doing right now? Hiding in my office. I told them where I am if they need anything. But they seem to have it all under control. Excitement is in the air.
Update at 1 PM -- Tess is taking a nap, wow. Baby Ella is still being sweet and adoraable. Devin is content. Hair is being done, and toenails are being polished.
Update at 3:14 PM -- Devin took a nap, too! I'm amazed. They both had to be woken up to get ready. Baby Ella never took a nap, but she stayed sweet, sweet, sweet all day. I got to help give her a sink bath and get her dressed. Kelli needed a pretty hair clip--I had that. Abby needed a necklace--I had that. (Amazing as I am not a jewelry person.) The wedding was to start at 2:30, and at 2:35 I was pulled into duty to drive because it turned out there wasn't room for all the carseats............so I drove Devin to his Mommy and Daddy's wedding--and then I couldn't get out of the parking area as it was a dead end and blah, blah, blah; so, there I was staying for the ceremony after all, but I felt bad because I was in jeans and everyone else was not. I did get to make my escape as soon as the ceremony was over.
Wonder how long it will be before I get a phone call................. And I wonder when the clean up crew is coming............
